2024 Toyota Highlander

Two cars that go head to head are the 2024 Toyota Highlander and 2024 Mazda CX-90 which are both midsize 3-row SUVs. The Mazda CX-90 has a starting cost of $39,220 (plus destination fee), comes in eight different trim levels and each model comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. As for the 2024 Toyota Highlander, it offers five different trim levels and has a starting price of $40,665 (plus destination fee).

A few similarities between these two SUVs are that they both have very powerful turbocharged engines, an AWD system, and similar infotainment systems but only one can come out on top. Drum roll please…the winner is the 2024 Toyota Highlander because of its reputation of great quality, reliability, and resale value but either way, both vehicles are great options. Let’s dive into another Toyota SUV that has great capabilities as well.

2024 Highlander Hybrid Nightshade Edition

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia is one of the few Toyota vehicles destined to be a part of the Nightshade family as well as the Corolla Cross Hybrid and the Highlander Hybrid. Customers will be happy to know that the 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid darker trim models will have dark 18-inch wheels, grille, mirror caps, plus black seats with silver stitching in the interior for XLE trims. The 2024 Highlander comes with six trims for the Hybrid model and seats up to eight passengers. As for the Highlander Hybrid, it comes with an electrified 2.5-liter inline-four engine and a large 12.3-inch touchscreen. The 2024 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Nightshade model is a dark and sleek new SUV that makes it a cooler vehicle to ride around in.

2024 Toyota Grand Highlander

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander has a much longer wheelbase than the Highlander and has a different look and style. This 2024 model is a three-row SUV that offers comfort, spaciousness, and a luxurious interior. There are 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back row, with plenty of room for more oversized storage items. Almost every seat has a USB-C outlet and several cup holders throughout the vehicle. When all the back seats are folded down, the cargo space grows to 98 cubic feet.

Upfront there is a 12.3-inch touchscreen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Three powertrain options come under the hood for this large SUV that offers front- or all-wheel drive. The three different powertrains are a base turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four engine, hybrid dual electric motors, and the Hybrid Max powertrain.

When the vehicle comes this summer, there will be three trim levels: XLE, Limited, and Platinum. The XLE trim has a starting price of $44,405 (plus destination fee), the XLE Hybrid is $46,005 (plus destination fee), the Limited Hybrid Max is $55,375 (plus destination fee), and the Platinum Hybrid Max is $59,460 (plus destination fee). The newest Grand Highlander is coming in strong against competitors like the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, and the Kia Telluride.
