A 2024 Toyota Century SUV Is On Its Way
The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles are known for their luxury vehicles for Toyota. An example of this would be the Toyota Century which is the most luxurious and fanciest of cars for royalty and the elite. Toyota has never considered changing the original design of this vehicle because they never saw the need to. Still, Toyota has recently stated that a Century SUV will be coming soon.
This current sedan has some similarities with the Lexus LS models, but Toyota hasn’t mentioned the design for the Century SUV. The sedan includes a 3.5-liter hybrid V6 and four-wheel drive with a rear e-axle. Toyota thinks that any customer who loves the Crown vehicles will then love the Century SUV since the Crown is such a popular car.
The Toyota Century SUV is scheduled for production in 2023 and will eventually go on sale a year from now. To better understand what the Century SUV will look like, and is similar to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV at 205 inches long and 77 inches wide. There will never be a Century sedan, which is okay because the Toyota Crown is such an impressive sedan. It is estimated that the Century SUV will cost between $76,000 (plus destination fee) and $114,000 (plus destination fee), similar to the new Lexus LX 600 in terms of pricing.
2023 Toyota Crown
The Green car of the year award goes to Toyota’s new Crown sedan for being environmentally friendly. The CEO, Akio Toyoda, has big plans to mix hybrids, plug-ins, EVs, and hydrogen fuel-cell cars. The Toyota Crown beat out a few top competitors, including Toyota bZ4X battery-electric vehicle, Chevrolet Bolt EUV, Nissan Ariya, and the Volkswagen ID.4. The Crown sedan replaces the old Avalon sedan, and the new Crown hopes to bring customers back to buying sedans.
Toyota plans to put the Crown on global markets when it goes on sale, so a plug-in hybrid is coming, but it doesn’t look like an EV model will arrive anytime soon. The CEO of Toyota has stated that they aim to offer vehicles with a few different powertrain options so that customers can decide which choice fits their needs and what they can afford. The Crown’s look shows it is spacious for passengers, with an added bonus of good storage space.
All the trim levels come with an all-wheel drive. The Crown with the base hybrid powertrain has up to 42 mpg and 41 mpg highway. The Platinum version has a stronger Hybrid Max powertrain with 29 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. For the interior design of the car, there are eight-way power-adjustable front heated seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Limited and Platinum trims have a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, and ventilated front seats. There is a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen that comes with updated software, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The starting price of the 2023 Toyota Crown is $41,045 (plus destination fee).
