The 2024 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner Is A Beast Of A Truck
During the 2023 SEMA Show, Toyota revived the X-Runner name from back in the day and attached it to the 2024 Tacoma sport-truck concept. The Tacoma X-Runner concept truck will have a bigger version of the Tundra’s twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V-6 engine. It will get 421 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of information to go on but this new vehicle seems to be a beast of a truck.
2024 Toyota Tacoma
Toyota is proud to say they have added new vehicles to its 2024 lineup to compete against cars like the Ford Ranger and Chevy Colorado. Toyota continues to offer a crew cab with five- and six-foot beds. There will be a new eight-speed automatic transmission, but the six-speed is still an option for the SR, TRD Sport, and TRD Off-Road trim levels.
A new turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is available for the SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro. The SR trim has a base engine that produces 228 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque; if a trim level has the iForce Max, that pushes the horsepower to 326 and 465 lb-ft of torque.
The TRD Off-Road will be the most popular model because of its terrain management features, off-road-tuned suspension, and much more. As for the TRD Sport model, it offers a four-wheel drive system plus robust tires that can handle any off-road adventure. The TRD Pro offers 33-inch tires and 18-inch wheels, plus the disconnecting anti-roll bar comes standard with this trim level. A new trim level is the Trailhunter model, which has an iForce Max hybrid powertrain and a wide-track suspension. The Max hybrid powertrain has a 2400-watt AC to power items like a mini fridge and extra lighting.
As for the all-new 2024 Tacoma interior, the seats are now lifted a little higher, and the roof has been raised. The truck has a sleek new look, and its newly redesigned controls make it easier to manage the vehicle. More details will be revealed later in the year, and customers can’t wait to get their hands on this impressive truck and all its different trim levels.
Another Impressive Trim Level
Toyota is ready to release a new mid-size pickup truck to please off-road drivers. Recently, there was a sneak peek of the hybrid TRD Pro model and how Toyota is ready to give a glimpse into the new Trailhunter trim. Another vehicle that also includes this impressive trim is the Toyota Tundra Trailhunter concept, and it also is focused on the Overlanding trim like the Tacoma Trailhunter.
The Tacoma Trailhunter will have a steel rear bumper with a large tow hook. As for the Tundra Trailhunter concept, it has a bed rack, a refrigerator, and a custom in-bed storage feature. If anyone is looking for a mid-size hybrid pickup, the 2024 Tacoma is the perfect choice and won’t disappoint.
