The 2025 Toyota 4Runner Will Offer Many Impressive Capabilities
Recently, Toyota gave a little glimpse into the all-new 4Runner and the brand even released a video of how the vehicle’s back window rolls down. Customers are super excited about the sixth-generation 4Runner because it’s been years since the larger SUV got a makeover. The 4Runner was made on the same Toyota TGNA-F truck platform as the Land Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra, Sequoia, and Lexus GX and LX.
It’s expected that the 4Runner will have the same powertrains as the new Tacoma pickup which is a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It seems the 2025 Toyota 4Runner will come in a few different trims, from the SR5 to Limited, and the TRD Pro. Let’s dive into a previous model to see what capabilities could carry over to the new model.
2024 Toyota 4Runner
The 2024 Toyota 4Runner is the rugged SUV that customers have been waiting for with its major redesign. Under the hood is a 4.0-liter V-6 engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission that produces 270 horsepower. The starting price for this new SUV is $41,600 (plus destination fee) and can get up to $56,565 (plus destination fee) depending on the trim level.
This SUV has a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs which is more than its competitors like the Ford Edge and Jeep Wrangler. As for the interior, there is an 8.0-inch touchscreen with physical buttons, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 15-speaker JBL audio system. A few of the safety features include forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, plus so much more.
Another 2025 Toyota Model
The Toyota Land Cruiser in the U.S. was discontinued in 2021, but Toyota is bringing it back for a 2025 model. The new Land Cruiser model will be very different from the last one and will have a lot of new and updated features. With its boxy SUV style, the 2025 Land Cruiser will look like the 2024 Lexus GX. The GX’s Overtrail trim will carry over some Land Cruiser TRD Pro trim level features, including its bulky tires and locking disparity.
If the U.S. is lucky enough to get the Land Cruiser Prado, it will likely have the same powertrain as the GX. This means sharing a twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 engine, producing 349 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque as the Lexus model. It seems that the new Land Cruiser will have a third row of seats, and the wait shouldn’t be much longer since it won’t be debuted until 2024.
2025 Land Cruiser ‘Black Edition’
A popular SUV is returning with a new and revised model which is the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser ‘Black Edition’. The 2024 Land Cruiser is a mix between the 4Runner and Sequoia full-size SUV which means it has a lot of similarities. To beat out its competition, Toyota released a second Land Cruiser special model, the 2025 Black Edition. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of information to go on right now but it seems this special edition model will have many dark features ranging from black badges to black tires.
The Wait Will Be A Little Longer
The 2025 Toyota 4Runner will be here before you know it, so when the time comes, don’t hesitate to get those orders in. Meanwhile, come on down to NYE Automotive Group to check out any of the other impressive Toyota models today!
