The wait for the all-new U.S. version of the Land Cruiser will be a little longer, but a new SUV with 4×4 will be similar to the 2024 Lexus GX. These cars’ exterior looks are identical, besides Toyota’s front side, which will be slightly different. There will also be a TRD Pro model for the Land Cruiser, which has the same features as the GX’s Overtrail trim level.

Both are expected to have the same powertrains to the tune of a 349-horsepower twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6 engine. US customers are so excited about a revamped model of the Land Cruiser and see what it has to offer.

Additional Features

The Toyota Land Cruiser SUV is the longest-lasting SUV model since 1951, but unfortunately, it’s no longer in the US. There is a new global Land Cruiser called the J300 Series and a new Lexus LX SUV built from this global model. In a few years from now, Toyota can be broadening its SUV models beyond Lexus, which is very exciting. Grand Highlander is another larger three-row SUV coming to the 2024 Toyota lineup.

Toyota states that this new platform minimized the center of gravity by upgrading the weight distribution; the global Land Cruiser also eliminates 441 pounds of weight. Whenever Toyota decides to release an all-new Land Cruiser model, it will most likely be made electric, hybrid, or full battery-electric. Toyota is starting to embrace the future of electric vehicles and plans to keep up with other competitors. The global Land Cruiser is made on a brand new body-on-frame GA-F framework on its TNGA platform.

Another New Toyota SUV

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander has a much longer wheelbase than the Highlander and has a different look and style. This 2024 model is a three-row SUV that offers comfort, spaciousness, and a luxurious interior. There are 21 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back row, with plenty of room for more oversized storage items. Almost every seat has a USB-C outlet and several cup holders throughout the vehicle. When all the back seats are folded down, the cargo space grows to 98 cubic feet.

Upfront there is a 12.3-inch touchscreen that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Three powertrains options come under the hood for this large SUV that offers front- or all-wheel drive. The three different powertrains are a base turbocharged 2.4-liter inline-four engine, hybrid dual electric motors, and the Hybrid Max powertrain.

The new vehicle will have three trim levels: XLE, Limited, and Platinum. The XLE trim has a starting price of $44,405 (plus destination fee), the XLE Hybrid is $46,005 (plus destination fee), the Limited Hybrid Max is $55,375 (plus destination fee), and the Platinum Hybrid Max is $59,460 (plus destination fee). The newest Grand Highlander is coming in strong against competitors like the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, and the Kia Telluride.

The Wait Is Almost Over
