The Toyota bz3 Sedan is Revealed Through Leaked Images
The Toyota bz3 wasn’t supposed to be in the spotlight for another few months, but the reveal of this car has come a little early. There has been a leak of images of Toyota’s bz3 electric sedan featuring a new modern, sleek look. In 2021 there was a tease of the bz SDN concept and with this leak of images, it turns out the bz3 is the production-ready version of the bz SDN. It is reported that the images that were leaked of this new model comes from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Unfortunately, this has happened to other automakers before. It’s hard to not get pumped for a sneak peak of Toyota’s newest addition even if the peak comes a little before it was supposed to.
What Features To Expect
This electric vehicle is set to be showcased at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November (2022) and will be on sale in China later this year. There aren’t a lot of details yet about the Toyota bz3 but reportedly it will feature an electric powertrain available with 183 hp or 244 hp. Top speed for this sedan is limited to 160 km/h in both trims. To get an idea of size, it’s measuring 186 inches long and 72 inches wide. In terms of actual size, it’s between the Corolla and Camry. For the top trim guise the wheels measure 18 inches, while on the lower-end trim, the wheels are 16 inches. Nothing’s been released yet about the set pricing of the car, charging speed, and range. However, there is speculation that it has a lithium iron phosphate battery sourced from BYD, and that pricing could start under $29,000.
Toyota Is Embracing The Future Of EV
It’s exciting news that Toyota is finally getting serious about electric cars. It all started with the 2023 bZ4X, which was Toyota’s first fully electric vehicle. Toyota hopes to sell 3.5 million electric cars annually by 2030. As of now, there is no sign of the bz3 being sold anywhere outside of China. The hope is for one day that this car will be sold all over the world. Having Toyota more focused on EV, the consumers can’t wait to see what else they can come up with.
The Wait Will Have To Continue
There is no other clue of the exact date for when the unveiling of the Toyota bz3 will take place besides possibly sometime in November. We can hope that the bz3 model does well enough in China that America wants to bring it to the automotive stores in the US.
