Toyota Tundra & Sequoia Trucks

A trendy thing to do now is Overlanding if someone owns a truck. Overlanding combines camping and off-roading into one, and it’s a game changer for all different types of adventure. To accomplish the goal of Overlanding, there needs to be a truck involved, and the driver has to own the proper equipment. Toyota recently announced that a few Tundra and Sequoia models would offer unique customization for Overlanding at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show (SEMA).

“Orion” Tundra Made By X Overland

A 2022 Toyota Tundra Limited inspired the “Orion” truck that X Overland made. The X Overland is not only for standard Overlanding responsibilities with its suspensions and bolt-ons but also serves as a film studio on the go. The “Orion” Tundra truck went on a long adventurous ride to test out what it has to offer with an 800-mile ride through the Nordic country. This truck comes with off-road hardware, a rooftop camper, a heating system, and a 13.2-gallon water tank.

“Simba” Sequoia Made By X Overland

X Overland also made a custom version of the Toyota Sequoia Limited TRD off-road called “Simba.” An improved suspension feature holds the added weight of the hauled gear and decreases the vehicle’s trail worthiness. The “Simba” Sequoia also has a steel rear bumper, 18-inch wheels with General Grabber X3 tires, a rooftop tent with a tough shell, and a dual-band transceiver radio.

“Adventurer” Sequoia TRD Pro

Wescott Designs built the “Adventurer” SUV based on the 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro. The exterior color of this SUV is white with a touch of Toyota accented graphics, and it sits on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels that go with large 37-inch Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tires. The “Adventurer” SUV suspension setup comes with a 3.0-inch lift up front and a 1.8-inch lift on the backside. The add-ons for this vehicle are a rooftop tent, roof rack, and a one-of-a-kind Kawasaki stand-up jet ski on the hitch-mounted holder.

“Ultimate Overlanding” Sequoia

4WD Toyota Owner Magazine worked with CBI Offroad Fabrication to create the 2023 Toyota Sequoia Limited TRD Off-Road. The goal of the Toyota Sequoia was to build a large SUV with off-road capabilities, a 3.0-inch suspension lift, 34.1-inch Toyo Open Country mud-terrain tires, and a Warn winch. When it’s time to rewind and settle down, the “Ultimate Overlanding” Sequoia has a rooftop tent and a 45-liter onboard refrigerator.
