Toyota Officially Confirmed The Arrival Of The Century SUV

As of 1967, the Toyota Century sedan has only been available in Japan and has never been sold in the United States. It’s known as Japan’s Rolls-Royce because of its luxurious features, but now, the fancy sedan will become a flagship SUV. Nothing is official yet, but the Century SUV could be coming sooner rather than later.
On September 6 (2023), more information was revealed about what the SUV could look like; the design from the original sedan will carry over to its bigger model. A sneak peek showed that the Century SUV will lose its Rolls-Royce-style doors and have more luxurious features. Rumors are that this new vehicle will have a gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain with a twin-turbocharged V6. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that the Century SUV will be sold in America, which isn’t a huge surprise since the Century sedan never was.
2024 Toyota Century SUV
The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) vehicles are known for their luxury vehicles for Toyota. An example would be the Toyota Century, the most luxurious and fanciest of cars for royalty and the elite. Toyota has never considered changing the original design of this vehicle because they never saw the need to. Still, Toyota has recently stated that a Century SUV will be coming soon.
This current sedan has some similarities with the Lexus LS models, but Toyota still needs to mention the design for the Century SUV. The sedan includes a 3.5-liter hybrid V6 and four-wheel drive with a rear e-axle. Toyota thinks that any customer who loves the Crown vehicles will value the Century SUV since the Crown is such a popular car.
The Toyota Century SUV is scheduled for production in 2023 and will eventually go on sale a year from now. To better understand what the Century SUV will look like, it is similar to the Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV at 205 inches long and 77 inches wide. There will never be a Century sedan, which is okay because the Toyota Crown is impressive. It is estimated that the Century SUV will cost between $76,000 (plus destination fee) and $114,000 (plus destination fee), similar to the new Lexus LX 600 in terms of pricing.
Another Luxurious Toyota SUV
Crossover and midsize SUVs are a hot commodity right now, and a fan favorite has been the Toyota Highlander. Toyota is ready to grow its game by debuting the all-new Grand Highlander in its 2024 lineup. The Grand Highlander will be an even bigger SUV than the Highlander to bring more space and comfort. Let’s dive into why the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is the SUV to go with.
The Grand Highlander has two of the same engines as the Highlander, but there is also a new 2.4-liter 4-cylinder Hybrid Max engine. This new engine produces 362 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, which makes the 2024 Grand Highlander a potent vehicle. Standard features on all trim levels are heated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. There are three different trim levels for the 2024 Grand Highlander: XLE, Limited, and Platinum.
This large SUV has three rows of seats, but don’t worry about being squished; there is plenty of legroom for adults, and it still leaves much storage space in the trunk. All 2024 models come with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0 to provide features like pre-collision protection, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, and more. In conclusion, the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is ready for any fun family adventure on or off the road.
